The UK Europe class intends to target several major handicap events in between official class events own events. Many of the below events are held at venues with strong local Europe fleets, and we encourage strong annual Europe turnouts to each - Europe sailors can not only enjoy great one-design class events, but a boat which performs brilliantly on handicap too!

Bloody Mary - Queen Mary SC

Part of the SailJuice Winter Series, the Bloody Mary kicks off the year with a 150 minute pursuit race. With entries frequently in excess of 200 boats, this one day event is a great way to test yourself against the best sailors in the country!

Tiger Trophy -  Rutland SC

The Tiger Trophy is one of the most popular handicap events of the winter, taking place on Rutland Water with a day of handicap racing on Saturday followed by Sunday's pursuit race for the Tiger Trophy!

Dutch Youth Regatta - The Netherlands

Dutch Youth Regatta is one of the world's largest multi-class youth sailing events, attracting entries from arond the world to race alongside talented Dutch youth sailors. The 2025 edition will, for the first time, see the inclusion of the Europe class with entries open to Under 25 sailors - recognising the Europe as a great platform at both youth level and for sailors to transition into from youth pathway classes.

Paignton Open for Single Handers (POSH) -  Paignton SC

This unique event format offers handicap racing specifically for single-handed dinghies, launching from Paignton Beach and racing inTorbay.

Camel Week - Rock Sailing & Waterski Club

Held annually in August, Camel Week provides handicap racing for both dinghy and multihull classes. Combining handicap and pursuit racing, with one trophy race each day, the event is an excellent opportunity to combine a competitive regatta week with a family holiday, with plenty of time to enjoy the club's hospitality and everything North Cornwall has to offer!

Chichester Harbour Week - Hayling Island SC

Drawing entries from clubs around Chichester Harbour, as well as from further afield, the event offers numerous fleet starts across multiple course areas in Chichester Harbour and Hayling Bay, with opportunities for junior competition for younger family members alongside one-design racing alongside the club's strong local Europe fleet.

North West Norfolk Week

With a strong Europe fleet in Overy Staithe, as well as at surrounding clubs in the area, there is often a good Europe presence at the annual North West Norfolk Week regatta. The event is unique in it's travelling format, with racing hosted by a different local club each day - a great chance to explore the fabulous Norfolk coast!
