South Cerney 17th June 2007

Due to the timing of this event, there were very few travellers who made it to South Cerney on Sunday 17th June.  Two sailors - Jane Stevens and newcomer to the open circuit Keith Miller (Maidenhead) joined local sailor Elena Daynes in taking on the 40 Lasers also present. 

Winds, as last year, were light and shifty throughout the three races ranging from almost nothing for the bulk of racing to a five minute period of hiking in the last race.   Elena looked good throughout the whole day's racing taking the meeting with 3 bullets, Jane following her in 2nd and Keith in 3rd overall.

South Cerney were most welcoming and hope that next year more Europes will be able to make the meeting - if it doesn't fall between two other ranking events.
