Val Ludlow has been a convincing winner of the traveller series, counting three firsts and a second. Pete Dowker deserves his second place as he has sailed consistently and has been an enthusiastic traveller, as has been Liz Ashburn in third place. Greg Pitt and Gareth Williams would have been contesting higher placings had they not each had commitments preventing them from getting to more events. The series has been enjoyed by those who took part
and for several it has been the only opportunity since getting their Europe
to sail in the company of other Europe sailors. To this extent the series
has justified its re-incarnation. There are approximately another six
Europe owners in Scotland and a further two or three in the North of England
who would be within reach of four of the six locations and perhaps the
renewed activity will bring more participation next year. Anyone who would
like to comment on the series or has suggestions for next season, please
