National & Open Championships

Chris Gill took his boat out for his annual appearance at the Nationals to win from last year's champion, James Eynon. Report and results here.

Chris later represented the Europe Class at the Endeavour Trophy at Burnham-on-Crouch on 6th-7th October. Report here.

Gareth Williams had a resounding victory at Leigh & Lowton SC on 27-28 October to take this year's Inland Trophy. Second place went to Europe newcomer Phil Bush while last year's Inland Champion, Bess Homer, came back from a long break from sailing to achieve third just ahead of Katie Mappplebeck.  Report and results here.

Scottish Championships

Brian Finnie retained his Scottish Championship title at a disappointing event at Chanonry SC on 4th-5th August. Report and results here.

Bexhill 23rd-24th June

Guy Revill overcame some strong conditions at Bexhill to win the first ranking event after the Nationals. Report and results here.

Queen Mary 15th-16th September

Gareth Williams led the fleet convincingly at Queen Mary SC to stay ahead of Katie Mapplebeck in the NR Series. Report and results here.

Loch Earn SCT 28-29 April 

Brian Finnie won the first Scottish Traveller of the season at the Loch Earn First Fling. Report and results here.

Alton Water ST 5-6 May

Chris Catt of the local club, sailing in his first Europe event, won the first Southern Traveller this year. Report and results here.

Bala NMT 12-13 May

Gareth Williams came out on top again at the Bala SC NMT on 12-13 May, in a typical range of inland conditons. Report and results here.

South Cerney ST 17 June

Elena Daynes from the local club looked good throughout the whole day's racing at the South Cerney ST, taking the meeting with 3 bullets. Report here.

Wormit SCT 16-17 June

Val Ludlow from Port Edgar won the second Scottish Traveller in a closely contested series at Wormit. Report and results here.

St Andrews SCT 7- 8 July

Val Ludlow again came out in front in gusting winds at St Andrews. Report and results here.

Sunderland NMT 18-19 August

Strong winds reduced the racing at the Roker Dinghy Regatta on 18-19 August where Val Ludlow had a convincing win. Report here.

Lee on Solent STT 1-2 September

Andy Harris was rewarded for waving the Europe flag at the Lee on Solent STT on 1-2  September by taking the honours in a two boat contest with Richard Eagleton at the Lee on Solent Regatta. Despite the small turnout, the sailng was good and the club has a firendly atmosphere. The Europes shared the "furthest travelled visitor" prize for the regatta - indeed they may have been the only visitors!

Port Edgar SCT 8- 9 September

Val Ludlow reinforced her leadership of the Scottish Europe Traveller series to win the overall trophy in two days of mixed weather at Port Edgar. Report here.

Burghfield ST 29 September

Katie Mapplebeck made her mark in the drifting conditions at Burghfield, where the turnout was greater than at any event this year, save the Nationals. Report here.

Weston ST 13-14 October

Ian Stow returned to the front to win at Weston in the last of this year's ST series.  Results here.
