Performance dinghy hardware manufacturer Holt and the RYA (Royal Yachting Association) have joined forces to launch a series of two day events for sailors of Olympic Class boats at five venues around the UK. The event is open to all sailors and £50,000 of grants will be available to those that are non-lottery funded.

Two events have already taken place in April and May, and the last three events are imminent.

They will take place at the following venues:

26/27 October ~ Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy ~ Europe, 470, Finn, 49er, Tornado and Yngling

9/10 November ~ Rutland ~ Europe, 470, Finn, 2.4mR, Tornado (@ WPSA)

16/17 November ~ Warsash S.C ~ Europe, 470, Finn, 49er, Tornado and Yngling

Entries to all Holt RYA Ranking Series events will take place on the day, with registration from 10.00am on the Saturday. The first race is scheduled to start at 12.00 noon and a social evening sponsored by Holt will follow on the Saturday evening.

The race series is an open event and therefore anybody who sails an Olympic Class boat can enter. After each event a HOLT RYA National Ranking list is compiled and placed on both the RYA and Holt websites, along with a write up from the weekend's event. Those who are at the top of the ranking list will have the least number of points.
